The Jet EM Envelope Printer is one of four machined we were required to design and engineer at the same time. Originally the machine looked like the photo on the bottom of the page, and this is the way most of Halm’s presses looked at this point. We were asked to revisit the current plan and propose a more appealing cover design which will get implemented on other presses models and create a new branded look for Halm Presses. The principal objectives were to be able to use as many covers from one machine on another model machine. The manufacturing method chosen for the covers was RIM (Reaction Injection Molding). RIM allows us to produce a great injection molded quality like parts, with a lower cost tool/molds.
